DUAL DIAGNOSIS

(Clients who have both a mental illness and substance abuse problem)

5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Brandon Christensen, LCSW and Cindy Ritchie, SSW

Meets in group room

Many clients with mental illness “self-medicate” with illegal drugs or prescription drugs. This group will educate about mental illness and how this relates to drug abuse.  It will deal with the issues that mentally ill people have in trying to cope with their illness and getting or staying off of drugs.  It will also touch on prescription abuse since many mentally ill clients are prescribed drugs and may abuse them.
