WOMEN IN RECOVERY (NEW)

Meets in group room
For women only, this group will focus on
women’s issues including self-esteem, sexism, family of origin, mothers and
mother myths, interpersonal violence, healthy relationships and support
systems, sexuality and addiction, body image, sexual identity, sexual abuse,
fear of sex while clean and sober, spirituality, prayer and meditation, and
creating a vision of successful living. |
LIFE SKILLS MANAGEMENT GROUP
5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Meets in group room
This ongoing group is designed to help the
participant identify how alcohol and other drugs have been used to cope in
unhealthy ways with conflict, feelings and other life stresses. We will
explore class members’ current life circumstances to illuminate
communication, behavior, and thinking patterns that sabotage successful
functioning and offer positive and healthy ways to manage life’s
challenges. The group will also include a section on budgeting and getting
out of debt, as well as successful relationships, avoiding risky sexual
behaviors and sexual behavior education, healthy choices and increasing self
esteem. |
DUAL DIAGNOSIS
(Clients who have both a mental illness and
substance abuse problem)
5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Meets in group room
Many clients with mental illness
“self-medicate” with illegal drugs or prescription drugs. This group will
educate about mental illness and how this relates to drug abuse. It will
deal with the issues that mentally ill people have in trying to cope with
their illness and getting or staying off of drugs. It will also touch on
prescription abuse since many mentally ill clients are prescribed drugs and
may abuse them. |
Choice and Change
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
12-16 weeks-repeating

The focus of this group will be to help the
participant gain a clearer understanding of the effect and impact that
alcohol and other drugs have on body, mind and life. The facts about
various drugs and alcohol will be taught. |

Drug Court Group
7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Meets in group room
This group is only for clients in Drug Court.
This treatment group will provide participants with curriculum that
emphasizes the concept that “Drug Court is an opportunity, not a
punishment.” Group members will explore the following concepts: getting
started, thinking errors, exploring values, warning signs, keeping track,
etc. |
Relapse Prevention Group
7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This group is designed to help each
participant recognize and pay attention to the warning signs that may signal
relapse. Core issues that may lead to relapse will be identified. The
participant will learn to accept life’s challenges as a normal part of the
recovery process and develop a thorough relapse prevention plan.

EFFECTIVE ANGER MANAGEMENT, CONTROL ISSUES
AND VIOLENCE AND HOW THESE RELATE TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE
6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

This group will deal with learning effective
methods of handling anger; how anger relates to substance use; and how to
stop letting the ineffective handling of anger trigger substance use. |

Call 435-896-8236 to
enroll in treatment groups and/or for individual substance abuse/mental health
treatment. Fees for treatment may be covered by private insurance, Medicaid,
Drug Court, CAIO or private pay based on a very reasonable sliding fee scale.
Participants are asked to be on time. Those arriving more than 15 minutes late
will often not be allowed into the group. No smoking is allowed in the
building. Between groups, smoking is permitted but needs to be 25 feet from the
front door. Please put cigarettes in the can designed for this use in the front
and back of the building. Thank you.

After hours we can be
reached for crisis calls at 877-386-0194. Our Richfield office offers
Individual, Family and marital counseling to those who have Medicaid. We
provide services for Children, Adolescents and Adults. We have licensed
therapists providing services in our Richfield office: Janice White, LPC, Holly
Kunzler, LPC, Steve MacDonald, LCSW, Brandon Christensen, LCSW, Monte Meacham,
LCSW, and John Bagley LCSW (Part time). We also offer Case management
services. These services help clients find housing, linking with other
services, and help filing for Medicaid and Social Security. We have a Day
treatment program for clients who have Chronic Mental Illness that meets three
times per week for 4-5 hours per day. We just opened our new Day treatment
facility.
